We look forward to welcoming sailors and families  to Cabarete for our 2025 sailing season.

The past years created opportunities for us to reflect on all the wonderful people we’ve met over the past 25 years and appreciate how truly amazing Cabarete is. As you plan your sailing getaway we hope you will look to Laser ILCA Training Cabarete. Visit a week, month, or the whole season. We welcome you and want you to know Paradise is only a plane flight away.

This year we have decided to reduce the number of clinics, and concentrate on offering charter boats, and coach boats to clubs and sailors who come with their own coach.

We also just plan to sail as much as we can, and if you are a sailor who wants to improve, just come when you have time, and join us. Sailing conditions here are different every day, allowing one to improve in all aspects of sailing.

In January and February of 2025 we tested a new concept in training. Steve Cockerill AKA Rooster sailing,  coached sailors while sailing himself on an ILCA 6. These 1.5 hour high intensity sessions, of sailing around a short triangle course, proved to be some of the best training for regattas we ever had. The concept was learn to improve while racing. This is very different than prior sessions in which at one point we concentrated on downwind sailing, at another on upwind, or just on tacking. Working on all aspects of the race course at all the times, makes it real, and challenging.

Steve was coaching every other day. Which gave the sailors an opportunity to sail and do their “homework” on the days “off”, in preparation for the next day with Steve,

We’ve added new amenities for the whole family. Club Carib Wind offers a variety of water sports recreation, including paddle boards and kayaks.

Drifter Restaurant,  has established itself as the go-to gathering place for visitors and locals. Drifter features a menu of fresh locally-sourced dishes and delicious drinks along with a welcoming staff, led by proprietor Hristo.
