| Javier Borojovich from Argentina. AKA Rulo.
With vast racing experience in the Europe and 470 classes, and a veteran of his own Olympic sailing effort, Rulo understands the needs of world-caliber and beginner sailors alike. Rulo's patience and ability to spend hours on the water looking for different ways to get a point across are very impressive. Whether demonstrating a drill from another Laser or giving instructions from a chase boat. Rulo is also a Medical Doctor, with experience in Sport Medicine.
In 2004 Rulo has coached Laser sailors at the following events: South American Laser Championships, Brazil. French Olympic Week Heyers, France. Laser Senior Worlds, Turkey and Laser Master Worlds, Turkey.
2005 has been a busy year for Rulo, coaching many clinics here in Cabarete. He also coached at the Laser Worlds in Brazil, and at the Opti worlds in the summer. Keeping in touch with the Opti class allows Rulo to offer a very clean and smooth transition to young sailors who are just switching from the Opti to the Laser 4.7 or Radial. Rulo also spent time in Canada coaching the 470 Women team.
2006- 2007. Too many sessions to include them all in this short intro. A whole month in Thailand training Laser sailors of all ages from the region including Singapore. Opti Worlds, Malaysian Team, Canadian Team, Miami OCR, Masters, juniors, Women clinics and lots of private sessions with individuals from the top of the Laser pinnacle to late bloomers.
2008 Coaching at the Olympic games and marching in the opening ceremony in Beijing will be remembered for ever. Rulo played an important role in the success of many sailors who participated in the games, including Gold medal winner Anna Tunnicliffe from the USA.
2009 Our goal for the coming year is to create new Master, Junior and Women sailing/training programs, applying all the latest techniques, and gathered during the recent Olympic campaigns.
