Conditions could not have been better for the first day of Racing of the 14va Regata Carib Wind Cabarete. Sunny, strong winds of 18 knots, and beautiful waves, welcomed 30 boats from 12 countries.

The sailors had to battle the elements and each other in what proved to be very demanding conditions. The sport of sailing requires full body fitness, as the sailors stretch out  trying to keep the boat level. When the sailors finally came back a shore after 4.5 hours in the ocean they were clearly exhausted. They have time to rest, and get ready for two more days of racing.
